-
Osprey searching for a fish.

This Full Moon photo was taken on Halloween Night, 2020. I used two doublers on my 500mm lens to get a 2000mm zoom. Hard to focus but I needed no crop.

The fisheye lens in portrait mode. Starting to like this lens.
-
A 5 minute walk from my house. There is a paved walking trail past the pond where this Heron has been hanging out at.
-
Took the photo hand held. This Heron caught and ate quite a few small fish. An American Bittern was there and caught a large frog.
-
I went back to Ancaster for the falls. This is Sherman Falls. f16, 2sec exposure with my 35mm Sigma A lens.
-
I used 3 photos of different exposures to get this photo.
-
Went to Tobermory. Took this photo about 8:00am with my 24-70L Canon lens. Also used a circular Polarizer filter.
-
This Egret was near the bottom of the Sauble Beach Falls.

This Photo was taken at Sauble Falls. Used my 24-70 F2.8 lens at F20, 1/8 shutter speed.

The Prince of Wales restaurant in spring. Fisheye lens used. Niagara on the Lake.
-
Have made two trips to the falls this winter. The ice was quite impressive.
-
Looking back to the Welcome Centre Building that is right beside the falls.
-
The Falls still flowing, but the river below the falls frozen over.
-
Winter trip to the Falls. Cold and wet, but worth the visit.
-
Winter trip to the Falls. The winter water spray caused me problems keeping my lens dry.

I went to the zoo, the Toronto Zoo. These are some of my photos. It was a very cloudy, grey December day, but fairly warm with no rain or snow.

Timbre Wolf resting.
-
A bit grumpy looking. I like the Cheetahs. They are true athletes, but are in serious trouble due to their low numbers.
-
This is a dirty Polar Bear.
-
This Zebra was set off by the noise of the cheetahs being fed.
-
Stretching Lion.
-
Girl Lion.
-
Awesome Lion. King of Narnia.
-
They look like medium sized dogs. How bad can they be?
-
This younger one was waving at us.
-
The Panda exhibit was not too busy. The Panda was outside, but behind glass.
-
The sun sets and I thought this scene with the old Train Station was quite dramatic. Not sure if this is exactly where Jumbo was killed, but Jumbo died in St. Thomas when hit by a train.
-
Went back a couple weeks later with my 12-24 super wide sigma lens. I like the same shot I did with my 35mm A sigma lens so I did a similar shot. Possibly this one is better but there was no sunset.
-
A panorama of the falls at St. Mary’s. This small town has quit a lot of scenery and waterfowl.
-
Went for a walk in the woods and took this shot from the perspective of the squirrels that were all over the place.
-
Just liked this shot for no real reason. Under the train there is not a lot of room to clear. The black and white effect makes it look older.
-
In Sarnia watching a boat and storm roll in.
-
The Blue Water Bridge to the states in Sarnia. Storm kept passing through, then returning.

People enjoying the last days of summer.
-
Thought this Mushroom had a cool quiet look to it.
-
Used my fisheye lens for this photo.
-
What had his attention was some other people approaching.
-
This display of the hair piece surprised me. Never saw it for the first hour I watched it hunt.
-
This Heron stood there for quite a long time. Drove by it twice without my camera. 2 hours later I came back, and the Heron was still there. The fish has a look of surprise on it’s face.a
-
Another arty shot.
-
This is the inside of the steam train 5700. We are looking at the controls for the boiler. This photo was taken with my Sigma 12-24mm 4.5-5.6 lens, handheld at 1/200 sec; f/4.5; ISO 1250 with flash. This was taken at 12mm. A very wide and useful lens.

The trout and salmon have started to jump. I do not fish, nor do I know fish, but this is so fascinating to see. I will go back this weekend if the weather is good.

Deer playing tag.

This deer stuck it’s tongue out at me.
-
Toronto Zoo Jellyfish. These things do amaze me. No brains, no bones, no stomachs, and most are deadly.
-
Just a fish in a large aquarium.
-
It was very cold the day I took this photo. Testing my new light meter to see if it can help me with air show photography. Photo was taken in Port Dalhousie.
-
Deer in a graveyard. Exposure difficult on this shot. I always (almost always) shoot in manual mode. Used my iPhone lux meter for setting the exposure. Think I got close, but slightly over exposed. However, shots taken with camera’s built in meter were all too dark.
-
Long exposure needed to get this shot.
-
Another long exposure to capture this shot.
